It may happen that Bonsy does not automatically cut out the receipt. In this case, you simply have the option to focus on the receipt manually. To do this, simply drag the corners of the picture towards the corners of the receipt. A small crosshair appears with which you can frame the receipt. Please try to form a rectangle as it is difficult to read the receipt with a trapezoidal shape.

If there are a lot of unclear items on the receipt after the upload

In this case, it is recommended to delete the receipt from Bonsy and take a new photo. Make sure the lighting conditions are correct, don't wobble and try to shoot the bill as straight as possible to make Bonsy's work a bit easier and get the best results.

While the frame is being created, try to keep it as still as possible.

How to prevent a wrinkled receipt

If you would rather upload the receipt to Bonsy at a later date than directly at the supermarket, then the question is: fold or roll? Spirits differ here. Some Bonsy users roll up the receipt loosely, some fold the bill. If you try the folding technique, it is recommended to make as few folds as possible in the receipt.

It's best to take a photo of the receipt right away

‍To get the best results, it makes sense, upload the receipt to Bonsy right after you have received it at the cash register.
Since the receipt is probably the least wrinkled at that time, this is likely to give you the best result.
Make sure the lighting is correct and use the flash if necessary.

Even though the result is usually visible in the app after a few seconds, you don't necessarily have to wait for it. You can also simply upload the photo to Bonsy and Bonsy will inform you as soon as the categorization of the receipt is complete. To do so, please activate push notifications.
